To EVERYONE at Tortuga Divers in the Morritts resort... We had the best possible experience because of your professionalism and attention to detail. We will be back and will tell friends :)

Dear Wendy –

During our first visit to Grand Cayman last year (2010) my wife and daughter took a resort course with Nigel and had a phenomenal time. My eleven-year-old daughter promptly declared that she wanted to get her junior open water certification, and when we returned to the East End this last month she completed her check-out dives with Dave. She could not have had a better experience. My brother-in-law also did a refresher course while we were there, and the three of us got to do several dives together. I was struck by how accommodating the entire staff was: they took the time to meet our different needs, and they figured out how we could make all of our schedules work together. Apart from being thoroughly professional, they are extremely personable, and I’ve seen how many repeat customers you have among divers of all experience levels; now I know why.

Thanks to you, Nigel, Spike (Spilios – you’re the man!), Deby, Doug, and everyone else at Tortuga. And a special thanks to Dave for the time and attention he gave my daughter. As with Nigel last year, I felt completely confident about her safety and enjoyment when she was diving, and I could clearly see that he is a top-notch instructor. We’re looking forward to diving with you guys again soon.

This was my first experience with scuba, and I took the Open Water Diver class with Dave and Ernie Mac Neill. Dave was an awesome instructor - very knowledgeable and helpful, making everyone feel good about their various skill levels. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend Dave, Nigel, and the rest of the Red Sail Sports team in the east end.

Description

The black grouper is a large marine fish, growing up to 150 centimetres in length and 100 kilograms in weight. It has an olive or gray body, with black blotches and brassy spots. The preopercle is gently rounded.
The black grouper is a solitary fish. The fish spawns between May and August. It is a protogynous hermaphrodite, i.e. the young are predominantly female but transform into males as they grow larger.
Adults feed mainly on other fish and squid, though the younger fish feed on crustaceans especially shrimp.

Great location and great dive sites. My 14 yr old son was certified by Mark this past summer. We had a great time while we stayed at Morritt's. Everyone was nice and accomodating. We both liked Fish Bowl and Snapper Hole but all dive sites were great! I'll definitely be back. Thanks... V, Mark, Nigel, Stew, etc....
